Keep On Laughing

It was 1979, I became obsessed with Barbra Streisand and also discovered Joan Rivers. Who would have thought, that two of the celebrities I chose to follow at 13 years old, would be relevant today. As a teenager, I loved Joan, she said things that I shouldn't hear, and cracked on celebrities like Mick Jagger/Rod Stewart and of course the Royal Family. I purchased her What Becomes A Semi-Legend Most and listened to it over and over and over.

Before Joan, I was the class clown in school, after seeing Joan, I knew one day, I would be a stand up comic. Unfortunately, I didn't pursue it professionally till 2010. It also took me 33 years to see Joan perform live, and in 2012, she made my dream come true by signing her book after her show at the Laurie Beechman Theater in NYC.

My incredible friend Amber gave me tickets to see Joan at the Paramount Theater in NY July 25th, and I am grateful I got to see her again, one last time. A few days later, i was fortunate to have the chance to ask Joan a question on Watch What Happens Live. So, now where do I go from here? Cry some more, or watch old videos of Joan and just...................................................... Keep On Laughing.........................
