Ike Please Preach!

When I post on my website, I always speak of my obsession with my idols Joan Rivers and Barbra Streisand. I never get into all the incredible artists out there that I grew up with that inspired me to be a perfomer. Let me chat about my obsession with Madonna. It started in 1983 when my friend played a track called "EVERYBODY". I was 17 years old when I first heard it, and I would sing the song while I was in school, right in the hallways. Then came "HOLIDAY" and I was officially someone who would now follow Madonna's every move. After I graduated High School, "LIKE A VIRGIN" would be a huge hit in the fall of '84, and I started creating my own style, and being myself, thanks to Madge. Even though I was not a performer until 2010, it was watching Madonna from '83 till present day, which included seeing most of her concerts from Blonde Ambition to the Re-invention Tour, that gives me the confidence every time I get on stage. Plus, she is also an incredibly smart Business Woman! Let's face it, she can do it all. SKY IS THE LIMIT!

So here I am today, 32 years later, and I am just as excited as I was when I was 17, to buy her new CD "REBEL HEART" tomorrow! I'm also VERY EXCITED, that I will be seeing her LIVE once again, in September at MSG in NYC with my VERY BEST Friend Amber and Sprinkles! You can bet your bottom dollar that I will be dancing in the aisles and singing at the top of my lungs! It's moments like this, that I am proud all my idols have given me so much pleasure for so very long!
